Does hosting the InPlace® Workshop require previous experience or training?

There are no specific requirements for who can host an InPlace® Workshop. SafeSide's clinical and lived experience faculty have co-designed the videos and co-teach in all of them. We have intentionally designed these workshops to have a very light burden on the host so teams can be trained as easily as possible, with minimal prep-work. So the only requirement for a host is that they are comfortable navigating the technology necessary to move through the modules and can help keep the group on track during discussions and practice exercises.

You can find more details on this in your SafeSide Account in the host orientation video and the Getting Started Guide and in our Hosts' Hub.

All that said, some of our partner organizations use a co-hosting approach, such as a clinical staff member and staff with lived experience or a technical host and co-host. Those are options you could consider and it works very well, but an InPlace Workshop can be hosted by one person as well.
